When some people look up into the sky, they see only a mass of stars (and perhaps a few stray satellites). But others look up and see stories: ancient fables of turtles, spiders, bulls, legendary warriors and mythic women. Greek philosopher Pythagoras looked toward the heavens and imagined that, since the heavenly bodies were separated from one another in intervals, like music, there must be a harmonious “music of the spheres” — a galactic musical chime — between planets and stars that was present even if not audibly heard.

When we look at music communities, we see a similar constellation of parts. Stringing together the seven pieces of Primal Code® into a cohesive narrative is a conscious and intentional act. No single piece is more important than the other, although at various times, people inside and outside of your community will want to focus on a single piece.

Questions like: What do you believe in? Where are you from? What are you wearing to the red carpet? Who do you like to hang with? Haven’t heard from you in a while: when is your next album coming out? Or even — Why did you say that thing on Twitter?!? Questions arise…
